Brilliant!

Candid Japanese visual animations from the late 19th and early 20th century by T. Enami (1859-1929).
He was known as “King of the Stereoview, Master of the Lantern-Slide And Prolific Anonymous Contributor To the World of Yokohama Album Views.”
Watch here some of these fantastic 3D stereoviews depicting life in Meiji-period Japan.
And this was his fabulous business card

News from Norfolk:
The George Washington carrier got under way from Pier 14 at Norfolk Naval Station late Monday morning, bound for its new home in Yokosuka, Japan.
And today, The Virginian-Pilot has a collectors issue.
The credit goes to Virginian-Pilot photographer Hyunsoo Leo Kim
A great cover for a great photo and great front-page design
With the proper end of the news story written by Matthew Jones:
The ship’s lines were freed just before 11 a.m., and two tugs slid into place behind it.
A Navy band struck up a tune to push back the rain, and the carrier got under way.
Within five minutes, the George Washington was out of the pier and turning toward the Chesapeake Bay.
In another five, it had slipped into the fog.
Gray on gray, it disappeared.
Well done!
