THE IPAD COUNTDOWN: EXPECT TWO LINES

The iPad goes on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at its own stores and Best Buy.

There will likely be two different lines.

Those who pre-ordered must pick up their purchases by 3 p.m.

If they don’t, a reserved iPad may be sold to a walk-up customer, and the pre-order buyer will have to wait for the next shipment.

Models going on sale Saturday can only connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
