As I said, the Apple iTablet is coming and I am not so sure that newspaper newsrooms are ready for this a challenge that, in my view, is really a great opportunity for innovative newspaper publishers and editors.

An opportunity to go back to the basics:

It’s the wine, not the bottle!

Yes, we are in the content business, but today there is no business if you don’t find, edit and produce first class multimedia compelling content.

And as we cannot be trap in ay “paper” or “digital” jails, we must develop new narratives in order top cope with the demands of news generations of readers, audiences and communities.

Monomedia companies are dead.

Monomedia newsrooms are dead.

Monomedia journalists are dead.

So, welcome any new multimedia tablet.

Welcome these new and fantastic “digital bottles” and let’s learn to produce the best multimedia content.

The new bottles are here.

If we don’t produce the necessary wine, others will do it.

January 26th is the time to move ahead.

  1. FB_1301950405 says:

“It’s the wine, not the bottle!” – well said!

  2. You got it, Juan Antonio.

I have been waiting for the iPod for News for at least 6 years. Kindle wasn’t it. iSlate/iTablet could be.
