Instead of shutting down cities.
Instead of spending millions in police…
Security.
Surveillance.
Protecting buildings against demonstrations.
Paying the expenses for thousands of journalists (well, press-release and press-conference news packagers…)
And moving around cooks, chefs, personal doctors, ambulances, helicopters, armored cars and all this paraphernalia…
Here is my proposal:
Give all this money (around $300 million for this week-long circus in London) to more noble causes: the Red Cross, medecins sans frontiers, etc. and ask CISCO to deliver free TelePresence systems to all these world leaders.
Period.
