On March 17, Carlos Soria stepped down as President and partner of INNOVATION, and became the company’s Chairman.

And I was elected to succeed him as President.

At the same time, Juan Senor, our director in London, became a partner and first vice president of INNOVATION, and Carlo Campos, our director in Madrid, was appointed as second vice president.

This has been a 4-year succession plan that is now concluded.

He is probably the world’s best expert in succession plans for family-owned media companies, and four years ago in Rome, when we were having lunch in Via Venetto, he said to me:

“Let’s plan my succession with plenty of time.

Let’s do what we recommend to our clients.

Let’s be a clear example of what we tell them to do.”

And we did it.

Carlos will continue helping us as the first Chairman, and will continue working as director, project manager and consultant in many of our projects.
