HOY is going out of business in print. The 16-journalist newsroom has been fired and … now they want to prosper online.

Yes, this is the same paper that in 2004 lied about circulation figures.

A bad newspaper with bad managers.

With 16 journalists … to cover millions of Hispanic people in New York.

It seems like a joke.

What I still don’t understand is why so many media bloggers are heralding this fake digital transition.

The message they deliver is: another print paper goes online.

Well, HOY was online before.

The reality is that this is not just another casualty of the Internet or a print operation that the Internet will save, but a necessary bankruptcy due to poor journalism and bad management.

It was dead.

It’s dead.

And although the Internet is very powerful, it doesn’t do miracles.
