I spent two days teaching about the future of newsmedia at the National University’s Digital Future of Journalism program in Kiev.
This is the second year of a program that INNOVATION was asked to design from scratch for the SCM’s Development of Ukraine Foundation.
And now it is a reality.
Each year, 25 young journalists from all of the Ukraine’s media are selected for a one year program with an international faculty teaching one full week every month.
The “students” are professionals, and the teachers are from all over the world.
My sessions were a mix of presentations, video cases and – above all – an intense and vibrant discussion about journalism. Period.

It was really refreshing to share these two days with a new generation of Ukrainian journalists.
The ones who will change, and are changing, the Ukrainian media landscape.
