$700 BILLION IS A BIG, BIG NUMBER AND PEDRO MONTEIRO HAS A WAY TO SHOW YOU

Pedro Monteiro, a visual journalist from Lisbon (Portugal), has done a great job trying to explain how big the $700 billion number is.

In one of several examples he says:

“This is the text of Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer.

With the text set to this size (2 pt) in Arial and printed at 300 dpi, each letter has 16 pixels.

If the book was sould for $700 000 000 000 then with each letter you could buy 16 houses like the one in the picture $700 000 000 000.”
