The first thing that you need to become what INNOVATION calls a daily newsmagazine is to have a newsmagazine size.
If not, what you get is this: a pastiche, or an imitation, that doesn’t work.
The Tribune Company is redesigning and re-inventing all the group’s newspapers.
The (Baltimore) Sun was redesigned in the last few years by excellent designers like Roger Black and Lucie Lacava, if I’m not mistaken.
So, what was wrong with these old graphic models?
It’s the content, stupid!
So, here they go:
A new design.
With a “maga-newspaper” approach!
It’s like converting an elegant Mercedes Benz into a crazy 2CV Citroen.
