Marco Grieco, the art director of EXPRESSO, sent me this page 2 and 3 from a recent issue of the leading quality weekly newspaper in Lisbon (Portugal).

Almost three years after INNOVATION’s work on the reinvention of the new EXPRESSO, the paper is better than ever.

As usual, INNOVATION’s Javier Errea did a superb job.

Congratulations to Henrique Monteiro, editor of EXPRESSO, and all of his team.

And more good news:

In a few weeks, UNICA, EXPRESSO’s glossy magazine, will present its new editorial and graphic formula.

INNOVATION has been working with Henrique Monteiro and Mafalda Anjos, its new editor, and UNICA will be our first example of “Fusion Journalism.”

Working with INNOVATION’s Guillermo Nagore, Juan Cano, Marta Botero and Carlos Soria, we decided that the editorial formula for this project required a new kind of creative journalism which we have branded “Fusion Journalism.”

You will see the first pages of the new concept here soon.

As I said today in an interview for a new Portuguese design blog, Lisbon is one of the most creative newspaper markets in Europe.

From the very successful and popular CORREIO DA MANHA to the highly respected PUBLICO.

From EXPRESSO to VISAO.

They are all good journalism!
