Barcelona is to Madrid what Milan is to Rome or New York is to Washington DC.
So, yesterday’s elections in Spain ended with a Barcelona victory over Madrid.
The majority in Catalonia voted for the winner of the elections.
And the majority in Madrid voted for the loser.
In the soccer league, Real Madrid is ahead of the Barcelona team.
In politics Catalonia won, and made the winner win, as La Vanguardia says on its front page.
