More or less the same number of voters.
And the same “last-minute” participation of the terrorists.
Like in 2004.
The country had to decide again between the same two candidates.
The press was not able to cover the campaign.
The political parties were in full control of the election coverage.

Especially in the Basque Country, Catalonia and Andalusia.
The first exit polls give between 42.6% and 45% of the votes to the socialist Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
With this distribution of the benches:
UPDATE: The exit polls were wrong.
With 99% of the votes counted, the PSOE gets 169 (+5) benches, and the PP gets 153 (+5).
Publico launched an extra edition with an optimistic headline based on the exit polls.
At the end of the day, the Socialists didn’t get the absolute majority, so they will rule with a precarious majority.
And they will need again the support of the nationalistic parties (CIU and PNV).
