The Digital Newsstand is a “home project” at The Birmingham News.
Scott Walker, an assistant managing editor at this paper, hacked together an old newspaper box, a Mac Mini, and a flat screen monitor to create a digital newsstand that will grab pages from the internet and display them in the rack.
