In a new all-time high, the shares of Apple hit the $120 USD mark.
The main reason:
Standard & Poor’s on Wednesday said Apple Inc. will join its S&P 100 index of big blue-chip companies.
Shares of companies joining the S&P 500 often rise because many portfolio managers try to track the index, and are required to buy stocks that enter it.
UPDATE: $121.12 USD at the end of today’s session.
