My hotel in Moscow is just 10 minutes from the Red Square.
Worker’s Day is a holiday.
The streets are almost empty.
A few hundred people march to a meeting near the Marx statue.
Street vendors sell old papers and books.
The small crowd has to pass arms controls to enter or exit the meeting.
This is a one minute video taken during today’s demonstration and meeting.
Moscow had more than 15,000 police and security people in the streets today… and less than two thousand communists lost near an empty Red Square.
Life has changed very much in Russia.
These are the remains of a gigantic social disaster.
And they are sad and nostalgic.
