WHAT’S NEXT: INNOVATIONS IN NEWSPAPERS

Two serious problems for Tyler Brule’s new monthly magazine:

First.

I paid my subscription to Monocle and I got an e-mail confirmation with this message:

Please allow up to eight weeks for delivery of your first issue.

What?

Well, my friends, you will go out of business if you are unable to deliver faster.

I will tell you how many days it takes me to get the first issue.

Second.

I wanted to buy extra copies after I bought my first copy last week in New York and…

I could not find it in Paris’ Charles De Gaulle airport newstands.

I could not find it in Athens newstands or aiport newstands.

I could not find it in Dubai aiport newstands.

I could not find it in New York’s Laguardia airport newstands.

Or in Norfolk airport newstands.

So… you better improve the distribution and subscription delivery.
