The first prototypes of Portfolio, the new business magazine of Condé Nast, are on the Web.

It’s taking a lot of time to produce what aims to be the FORTUNE magazione of the 21st Century.

First issue: May 2007.

The design looks very similar to Condé Nast Traveler.

Trendy.

Visual.

With an elegant logo.

Henry Luce started FORTUNE as a luxury, expensive, and big format magazine.

Today the first FORTUNE magazines are collector items.

His founding editors were literature professors.

And not economy or financial experts.

He just wanted good story-tellers.

Journalists.

If PORTFOLIO does the same today, it will succeed.
