The French press is very predictable.

French journalists have a very easy job.

French newspapers, too.

Just cover politicians.

In a politically correct way…

And go home to rest.

The problem is that readers don’t care.

Look at this front page from Le Figaro with the usual suspects.

And see the promo in the top left corner.

Chirac on the front page of the TV magazine.

Not once, but two times on the same front page, on the same day!

Anyway, they also offer a very unique book… about fromages.

Yes, fromages… telling the French about fromages!

Well, fom Le Figaro to Le Monde, from Matín Plus to Liberation…

The front pages are always the same.

With the same people.

The same faces.

Of the same politicians.

Sarzkozy.

Royal.

Chirac.

They control the newspaper agendas.

And they are happy to be controlled.

Nobody makes a mistake.

All do the same.

Vive la diference!

Well i agree with you that not much else is discussed in French newspapers except politics, however i believe you should remember the situation of political uncertainty that exists in France. The French are extremely worried about who will lead their country next, and rightly so considering the failures of their previous presidents. France is deeply submerged in problems varying from economic to socially orientated ones, and this has caused the creation of a very anxious French public, keen on keeping updates of the latest political news, to ensure that the next president is the right one.
