An ad (promoting an Opera collection) on the front page — as news.
With the same type of the news content.
Wrong, Monsieur Le Monde.
Promotions are fine.
They bring money and readers.
And I don’t have a problem with that.
Newspapers need money to fund good reporting.
But good reporting starts with a basic rule: seperate news and advertising.
