TRAFFIC IN THE SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS FRONT PAGE

Traffic is a big issue.

Commuting in California is not easy.

When I was at Stanford University, I decided to live in San Francisco and commute every day.

Well, I had a very flexible schedule and I was able to avoid the rush hours.

My daily 45 minute ride was for many people in the area at least a 80 minute daily ordeal.

When I saw yesterday´s front page from the San Jose Mercury News, I realized how important is to present these topics in such a bold way.

When you do this, your readers see you as a real street fighter.

At their side.

Doing this kind of advocacy journalism is what will save our newspapers.

Great design.

Great cover.

Great front page decision.

Well done!

UPDATE: see here this great infographic.
